Hanford School, Blandford Forum, Dorset is at the opposite end of the scale in being a tiny organ built by Mr. Pilcher of Soho, London. It is a small one-manual with a short bottom-octave and no pedals.
In fact it looks like a sideboard with no visible pipes, but it sings out well in the small ancient chapel in the grounds of the school. The organ has now been cleaned and overhauled.
Churchill Parish Church near Chipping Norton was badly damaged by fire and the organ suffered smoke, soot and water damage. Our work has been delayed due to the dust being created by masons, glaziers, electricians, carpenters and decorators all doing their work before we could have a clean atmosphere in which to work. However work is now well underway and we should see completion in April 2009
